• Become the brand ambassador for all of Porchlight’s creative design ideals with a willingness to lead strategic brainstorming sessions and ensure the highest standards for all work that goes out the door
  • Create several ideas and creative solutions by using various practices, trends, techniques, tools and processes to find the best way of translating ideas, moods and messages into various mediums, including packaging, in-store, online, mobile, print, etc.
  • Be comfortable wearing many hats, taking ownership, and working individually on simple to complex projects and working across all levels of the agency to meet client needs
  • Embrace change and the opportunity that comes with it to make something better – you will handle multiple projects and have to adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines and project goals
  • Be able to present ideas both internally to peers and externally to clients
  • Work with peers, illustrators, photographers, printers, and other personnel during the creative process to ensure deliverables stay on time and within budget
  • Stay a student of the industry and keep informed of current trends, technology, styles, etc. to continually hone your skill set and promote necessary improvements to the agency’s current tools/processes


  • 5+ years of graphic design experience in a design agency or corporate in-house agency, showing strong conceptual skills and a solid understanding of the overall creative process 
  • A college degree within an appropriate discipline such as Graphic Design, Package Design, Advertising, Communications, Marketing or Publishing, OR a sufficient combination of education and experience to perform the key accountabilities of the job; a graduate degree within appropriate discipline is a plus
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD, as well as HTML; knowledge of After Effects and excellent freehand sketching skills are also a plus
  • Strong familiarity and/or experience using 3D modeling software such as Esko Studio, Strata 3D, Keyshot, SketchUp, SOLIDWORKS, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs 
  • Thorough understanding of 4-color and spot-color printing processes and understanding the technical and monetary production possibilities and limitations of various print production methods
  • Constant focus on executing clients’ objectives and strategies while demonstrating a sense of urgency but still remaining calm under pressure
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented demeanor, understanding the need to properly allocate time and resources to ensure maximum productivity and meet assigned deadlines
  • Strong desire to pursue learning and self-development to enhance expertise and drive career development
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects
