Every once in a while, you get the opportunity to work with someone who makes the day more fun just by showing up. For Porchlight, that person is Shelley Turner. There’s a reason she’s in charge of New Business and Account Management and has been for seven great years. Shelley has a way with people. Just take a look below, and you’ll see why.
How does the team describe her?
Pretty much every single person at Porchlight says “upbeat and positive” when asked about Shelley. She’s a natural at building relationships, something that not all creatives excel at, but all admire. Shelley has a way of making those around her feel cared for and appreciated. That circle of care extends beyond the team to her clients, who love Shelley and the way she’s always there when they need her.
In other words:
– When we’re having a bad day, we look to Shelley to pull us out of it.
– She brings light into the office.
– If we could bottle what she’s got, we would.
What do we wish she could teach us?
Without a doubt, we all feel a bit like Eeyore compared to Shelley. What we really want to know is how she manages to be positive 10 out of 10 times and how she manages relationships and always keeps her cool. Somehow, she manages to juggle her job, family, and a very active social life with boundless energy and zero complaints. For those of us who believe that’s impossible, Shelley is like a unicorn of efficiency and positivity.
What her boss, Greg Corey, has to say about Shelley.
Shelley is a real asset because of her positive attitude and conscientiousness. She believes that anything is possible and always brings out the positive in every situation and person. Shelley really enjoys working with people, internally and externally, and she goes out of her way to communicate with others.
What does Shelley want people to know about Porchlight?
I wish more people knew that we are a full-service marketing agency. Many clients who got to know us when we specialized in packaging have a hard time seeing how much we’ve grown.
Got a favorite project, Shelley?
I loved working on the Fanta Oreo Halloween ‘Spooky Lab’ display we did for grocery stores several years ago. My kids got a kick out of it when they were younger and saw it in our local Publix.
What’s something you love doing or wish you could do more of?
I love my current job, just as it is. I get to work with great clients and collaborate with an amazing team. It’s fun!
